Tingsha Tibetan Ashtamangala Lucky Symbols Chimes - Small 2 and 25"- embossed, made in Nepal, perfect tool for meditation and yoga.
Tibetan Ashtamangala Lucky Symbols Tingsha Chimes are embossed with the eight auspicious Tibetan symbols of happiness: the parasol protecting against evil, the banner of victory of Buddha's teachings, the conch shell of good luck, the endless knot of eternal love, the water vessel of abundance, the two fish of salvation and fecundity, the lotus of purity and beauty, and the Buddhist Wheel of the Law.
These tinghas are hand cast by Tibetan artisans using methods passed down from generations. These prayer chimes have been used by centuries by Tibetan Buddhists to prepare for meditation. When the two pieces strike each other they produce a clear, pure, cleansing sound which can be used to focus the mind before and after meditation. Tingshas are also used in space clearing to remove negative energies.
The tingsha is made up of two small metal gongs connected with a leather strap. Traditionally, the tingsha has been used to make music, to clear negative energy from a space and to bring the mind into the present moment.
Tingsha can be rung anytime one wants to achieve a calm and meditative state of mind. They can be rung to fix a moment or place in one's memory. Tingsha can be part of a home altar or shrine, or easily transported to use in a garden, yoga center, or other setting.
